About Sierra Anglican Church

Sierra Anglican Church is a Christian Community grounded in the traditions of the ancient church. We are a community of Christian believers holding to the Anglican tradition. Our community offers Christian fellowship and fosters belief in Jesus Christ as identified by the early church. What is true now has always been true. We believe that the hope for the world starts and ends with Jesus Christ and life within our community is based upon the Great Commission as stated in Matthew 28:18-20:

All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.

Our services are held weekly in Reno, Nevada. Our parish membership encompasses Sparks, Washoe Valley, Carson City, Incline and Minden/Gardnerville. We are catholic (universal) and reformed in that we practice the Christian faith delivered by the saints through the Holy Scriptures and as defined by the first four general councils of the Church. Our worship is liturgical using the ancient formularies of the early Church. We follow the Anglican tradition as outlined in the Book of Common Prayer. Within our liturgy we utilize a combination of traditional and contemporary music. We offer Sunday school classes for elementary age students.
