Serving and learning together is a big part of our life here, both on Sundays as well as during the week. Everyone at Sierra Anglican church is involved in one way or another with at least one of these important ministries.

Bible Study

We are proud to participate in the Crossways Bible Study Program of the Divine Drama. This course uses a visual approach to Bible Study. The course examines the Bible in a chronographic manner. Christian Education

Sierra Anglican has Christian Education classes for children in elementary school. Currently we use the program called Sermons4Kids. Lectors

The roll of the lector is an important part of the worship services. The Lector joyously proclaims the Word of God before the congregation in the Lesson and Epistle readings. Lectors participate in a brief training course in preparation for the readings as well as in how to deliver them and are scheduled monthly for their reading assignments. Music Ministry

Sierra Anglican uses music as an avenue to worship and praise our Lord. We believe in blending the best of traditional hymns and contemporary songs to enhance our Sunday worship. Our music ministers encourage congregational participation to "make a joyful noise unto the Lord". | read more
Sierra Anglican Church Sacristans

Sacristans

The Sacristans are responsible to set up and care for the alter furnishings. This includes setting up the alter for the Sunday Eucharist and laundering the Sunday liens. | read more

To be a Christian community of high commitment in mission to people of the Eastern slope of the Sierra who want to be disciples of Jesus Christ by believing in Him through the ancient faith of the Church and by keeping a community rule of discipline in worship, prayer, study, personal giving and service.
